OREGON GARDEN PAVILION

Located in Silverton, Oregon, The 80-acre Oregon Garden showcases the diversity of botanic life found in the Willamette Valley and the Pacific Northwest. MBA was responsible for the renovation of the J. Frank Schmidt Jr. Pavilion, the garden’s primary visitor facility. Previously a riding arena and stable building, Merryman Barnes Architects renovated this space into a bright, accessible, and energy efficient meeting place. Program elements include the main exhibition space, meeting rooms, restrooms to serve all Garden visitors (with both interior and exterior entrances), a catering kitchen, secure storage, staff offices, the Garden gift shop, and the “launch site” for all Garden tours.
