The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland is to empower all young people to discover their full potential. Originally constructed in 1954, the Wattles Boys and Girls Club was the oldest of Portland’s clubs. We provided design for an extensive remodel of the existing 17,400 square foot recreational facility and a 4,700 square foot expansion. The project significantly increased the maximum occupancy of the club, allowing it to serve more children. The renovation involved a complete update of the facility’s systems, and added new and larger windows to let natural daylight pour into the space.
